Jock was collector and trader of Native American Jewelry. An Arizona native, Jock Favour is well-known for his old-style jewelry that pays tribute to the classic techniques of Native American jewelry-making. Jock achieves the antique look of his jewelry by combining older stones with ingot silver to create heavy and beautiful pieces.

Stone: Fox Turquoise

The Fox Turquoise mine, near Lander County in Nevada was discovered in the early 1900’s. It was once Nevada’s largest producer of turquoise with some half million pounds. This mine has been closed for quite some time.
In prehistoric times, indigenous peoples mined turquoise and found large nuggets. It produced a huge quantity of good-quality green or blue-green stone with a distinctive matrix. The Fox mine has also been known as the Cortez mine.
