Steve was born 1963, in Gallup NM. Steve started making jewelry in 1987. Most of his designs come from his old friend and teacher Harry Morgan and his experiences of making fashion jewelry. His jewelry is always made with high-grade turquoise, and he leaves the piece simple yet beautiful.

Stone: Indian Moutain Turquoise

The Indian Mountain turquoise mine is located on the south range of Bald Mountain in Lander County, Nevada. A Shoshone sheepherder was said to have found the mine in 1970. The Indian Mountain was owned and operated by Ed Mauzy and J.W. Edgar, both legends in Nevada turquoise mining. Indian Mountain Turquoise is not a common variety of Turquoise, and it fetches uncommon prices. Most of the beautiful spiderweb turquoise is very high-grade and is seen in both a green and fine blue color, sometimes combined.
